HOUSE RULES
THE ZUBAK APARTMENTS, CRIKVENICA, CROATIA

Dear Guests,
To make sure you have a pleasant stay and to avoid any possible misunderstandings, please acquaint yourself with the house rules of the Zubak Apartments.

1. Acceptance of a reservation is dependent on payment of the deposit fee. The amount of the deposit fee is determined by the length of the apartment rental and the price.

2. If the guest or person who places an order cancels the reservation, the apartment owner is required to immediately return the paid deposit fee, with a compensationary deduction as follows: 10 percent when the owner is informed of the cancellation a month (28 days) or more in advance of the agreed upon date for apartment rental, 50 percent when the owner is informed between fourteen and twenty-eight days in advance of the agreed upon date for apartment rental, and 100 percent when the owner is informed of the cancellation less than fourteeen days in advance of the agreed upon date for apartment rental.

3. The price for rental of the apartment for the entire rental period is to be paid prior to use of the apartment. The price of the apartment includes: water, electrical energy, water, tidying and cleaning the apartment, and changing bedding and towels in the bedrooms and bathrooms.

4. The owner has the right to retain the entire sum paid if the guest leaves the apartment (without a valid reason) prior to the date agreed upon.

5. Residence in the apartments begins at 2 PM (14:00) on the first day, and ends at 10 AM on the last day.

6. Each guest is required to register his/her sojourn with an official form of identification. This personal document will be returned after registration in the Guest Book and at the Tourist Office, at the latest within 24 hours.

7. The hours for nighttime rest begin at 10 PM and extend to 8 AM the next morning, and during that time guests are requested and required to respect the wishes of others for peace and quiet.

8. Thorough tidying and cleaning of the apartments, and changing of bedclothes and towels are carried out after the departure of each guest. For longer stays in the same unit, bedding is changed every 7 days, and towels more frequently, if necessary. During their residence, the guests are to maintain the cleanliness of the apartment, and should hand it over at the end of their stay in reasonable condition.

9. During their stay, the guests should feel free to use all available appliances within the apartment. Guests are requested to deal with all items, inventories, and appliances carefully and in good faith. If objects or appliances are broken or disappear, the guest is required to report this to the owner and to provide compensation in the amount of the value of the missing or destroyed item.

10. Guests are requested to utilize electric energy rationally, and to turn off electrical and other appliances while elsewhere, particularly the air conditioner.

11. Guests are required to take care of their own possessions and valuables, and are also responsible for their behavior within and in the vicinity of the house.

12. The owner of the apartments reserves the right, in special circumstances, to enter the apartment in the absence of the guests if it is noted that this would be essential to prevent any possible damage, and particularly when it is thought that the house rules are being ignored. In the case of any such emergency entrance when guests are absent, the owner is required to report to the quests the time and reason for such an entry into the apartment.

13. Lengthy or overnight stays by individuals who are not registered as guests of the Zubak Apartments are not permitted.

14. It is forbidden to bring into the apartments narcotics, other drugs, or weapons, flammable or explosive materials, or any material with a strong and unpleasant odor. Any other items, such as camp beds, equipment, appliances, or machinery are permitted only with the special permission of the owner.

15. The apartments cannot be used for any other purpose than those set forth, nor can any activities take place in them that represent an affront to the norms of everyday life, morals, and public order.

16. We recommend that our guests refrain from smoking in enclosed areas.

17 On the day of departure, the guest is required to permit the owner or staff of the Zubak Apartments to inspect, in the guest’s presence, all rooms, equipment, and appliances. All compensation for damage that has not been announced prior to departure will be subsequently sought in legal proceedings.

18. With the confirmation and payment for the reservation, the guests have legally accepted the obligations and conditions of these house rules. Guests who do not respect and are in flagrant violation of the house rules will have their accommodation cancelled unconditionally, and in such cases the entire amount for the reserved period will be charged.
